TEAM MISSION CHAT
Open:
Room is open 24/7
Schedule:
Chat Night every Wed at 8PM PST, be there!
Log-In:
Type in your Real Name or Handle in the 'User Name' field, and click on 'OK
connect!' Do not put your email address in unless you like to receive Spam.
Since this is a small community, using your real name would work best so others
would know who they are chatting with. Click on 'Float' to open chat in a
new larger window if you wish.
Browsers:
Parachat is a Java based program and runs on any
Java-enabled web browser. It will not work if you are behind a firewall like at
work etc. If you are still having trouble after checking your settings,
download the latest version of the browser you use and use all the default or
medium security settings. If you still have trouble, try hitting the side
of your monitor a few times, or email me at glenn@jglennmiller.com
-
Internet Explorer: Click View > Options > Security. Check the 'Enable Java programs' box.
-

box. Or Click Edit > Preferences > Advanced. Check the 'Enable Java' box.
- Mac - If you would like to heighten your compatibility with your Mac and Java, visit Apple’s Java web page for their latest Java update download.
Netiquette:
Netiquette is the code of conduct when communicating online, whether in chat,
e-mail or message boards. Here are some netiquette tips to keep you in good
favor:
- Be polite.
Treat others as you would like to be treated.
- Do not use
all caps. It's considered shouting. UNLESS YOU REALLY NEED TO.
- Do not use
obscenities.
- Do not use
abusive, hateful or otherwise offensive language.
- Use
emoticons and abbreviations to convey emotion.
